Thank you for visiting Bioengineering Center. Bioengineering is the application of engineering principles to address challenges in the fields of biology and medicine. Bioengineering includes such fields as molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, pharmacology and others.
Bioengineers are engineers who use the principles of biology and the tools of engineering to create usable, tangible products. In general, biological engineers attempt to mimic biological systems in order to create products. Bioengineers also study the genetic modification of plants and other living things. This website is for the layperson, and includes articles, videos, and everyday chatter about bioengineering. Thanks again!
